RADIO ADS FOR EVENT

Things have really heated up the last few weeks with fundraising. It has been nonstop and I love it! Local and national companies have been extremely generous in donating items and food for our fundraising events. Our local radio station has also been great!

On Tuesday evening I met with Kevin Williams, Director of Sports & Community Relations at WOBM. I reached out to Kevin several weeks ago to see if he can help us get the word out on what my wife and I are doing for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF.)

A short time after sending my email Kevin replied and scheduled a call with me to review what my experience and what we are doing. On the call Kevin was awesome! We spoke for a few minutes about the LIVESTRONG Challenge, my cancer experience and what I am doing to make a difference to support all survivors and the LAF.

He liked what he heard and was quick to offer WOBM’s help with playing promotional ads with a possibility of a few more things (i.e. promotional crew onsite for events, etc.) We agreed to speak after I returned from vacation --- I forgot to mention I was sitting on the beach in Wildwood, NJ while trying to work the deal.

I followed up with Kevin a few weeks after my vacation and after his vacation. He needed to get a little more background on me, LIVESTRONG Challenge and the Bayville dinner and silent auction. He explained that WOBM will run radio promotions, interview me during the morning show 10 days from our event (both 9.27 FM and 1160AM radio) and put me on the hometown view. He was inline with what I was looking to do.

Check out our PRESS RELEASE!

I look forward to the interviews. I will do my best to get the word out on the LAF, the challenge and our fundraising efforts & events.

A special THANK YOU to Kevin Williams for all of his help and support!

I will post the radio ads on our team website when they get made.

LIVESTRONG!
