Team USA Swimmer Eric Shanteau puts off cancer surgery until after the Olympics

I was reading this amazing story of Eric Shanteau and how he recently found out he has testicular cancer and chose to put off surgery until after the Olympics. Great article!

Can you imagine the pressure of going to Beijing to participate in the Olympics and knowing you have cancer. Knowing you will have to come back home and begin the fight of your life! Regardless of Eric's place in the 200 meter breaststroke it makes his participation sound easy compared to what he will face when he gets home.

The good news is Eric caught it earlier and doctors say he will be fine long term. Let's all remember to root for Eric and the rest of team USA during the Beijing Summer Olympics.

LIVESTRONG!
