Fundraising idea - Raffle Off a Product or Service

Create a raffle at a local business for a product or service:

Example of services:
- 1-3 months of tanning
- 1-3 months of gym membership
- 1-3 months of lawn care or yard service
- 1 week vacation or time share
- etc.

Example of products:
- 2-4 Tickets to sporting event or major concert event
- Bicycle (road or mountain)
- Motorcycle
- Boats (Big or small)
- etc.

Try to think of raffles that do not require you to spend an abundance of time. Secure the product or service by getting the business to donate. Ensure that you use a donation form and 100% of the proceeds go to the organization of your choice.

Advertise in your local papers and radio. Advertising costs minimal money, but if you do not want out of pocket costs you can always contact the newspapers to have them write a story on you and your mission. This is FREE! If you have a BIG ticket item you should get it on the radio and if you approach them and detail what you are doing they would probably interview you on-air and cut a small promotional ad that can run a few times a day/week.

Charge $2.00 for one ticket or $5.00 for three tickets for services. You could have a third level, but you may be pushing it. If you can secure a BIG ticket item then you can raise your ticket prices, but keep in mind even raffles for motorcycles tickets go for $25 so do not price to high or you will not sell tickets.

You would be surprised how much you can generate by a raffle. Try it out! I know you will be successful.
