An article just came across which I just cannot understand - Mammograms Drop in Women 40 & Older
What I do not understand is why any woman would not go get a mammogram after the age of 40 (or earlier.) Breast cancer, like most cancers, needs to be caught early and the best preventive action a woman can take is breast self-exams (BSE) and mammograms. This article even raises the point that this could mean an increase in death rates in the future.
I hope this reaches at least one woman over 40 that decided not to get a mammogram. PLEASE make sure your mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and every single woman you know regularly performs a BSE and gets a mammogram.
